For Your Health: United Healthcare Resource Center

United Healthcare Resource Center

United Healthcare is working to bridge the gap between underserved people in the Navajo Nation and vital healthcare needs.

Some of what the resource center provides is education and information on healthcare, in addition to how to receive food assistance and transportation to get to and from medical appointments.

Vice President of Member Engagement with United Healthcare, Buffie Saavedra joined New Mexico Living to explain who will benefit from this new facility.

“Everything you could ever imagine in a resource center is housed in the little trailer.” The ‘little trailer’ is a single wide trailer providing no cost services to people in Shiprock, New Mexico.

The Navajo Nation is a large rural area and The United Healthcare Resource Center is working to bring all factors of health to residents of the area.
