BCSO: Man dies after crash involving stolen vehicle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Coors Blvd southbound at Barcelona has reopened following a crash that happened Tuesday morning, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say a 23-year-old male was driving a stolen vehicle westbound on Barcelona when he crashed into a northbound vehicle at Coors. They say the man also hit a utility pole.

BCSO says the 23-year-old was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin has not yet been notified and his name has not been released.

The sheriff’s department says the investigation is ongoing.
