Albuquerque educator to be honored on Wall of Fame

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A longtime Albuquerque educator will be honored on the city’s Wall of Fame.

Helen Fox started teaching for Albuquerque Public Schools in 1982.

In 1994, she founded Albuquerque’s first Title 1 program for homeless students, a program which has since helped thousands of homeless students get an education.

Fox will be inducted Tuesday into the Wall of Fame located at the Alvarado Transportation Center downtown.

She is the fourth-ever inductee into the Wall of Fame. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
