Wind and cooler temperatures are ahead for New Mexico this afternoon. The changes are all thanks to a cold front that continues to track through New Mexico this morning and this front will cause temperatures to be 10°-20° cooler across eastern New Mexico. The wind will also pick up out of the east and through the canyon here in Albuquerque for your Friday. The wind will be sustained from 10-20 mph throughout the afternoon. The wind will come down for Saturday morning and outside of a stray shower flying conditions should be okay for Saturday morning at Balloon Fiesta park. But, another weather system is going to move into southern New Mexico from the southwest. This system will bring the chance for some showers by Saturday afternoon and on Sunday.
