ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The woman known as “Jane Doe” caught on video attacking an Albuquerque Police Department officer has been identified. Police said she gave the name Kelly Covey.

Officers were called to check on her outside a Nob Hill business last month.

When the officer asked her to taker her hands out of her pants, she pulled a rock out of her purse and hit him.

She was arrested, but wouldn’t give her name and her fingerprints didn’t help either.

The judge released her as ‘Jane Doe,’ the court said it couldn’t hold her because APD failed to put her description, like height and weight and ethnicity, on the criminal complaint which is required by state law.

An officer recently spotted her near Central and University and took her into custody.

Police say they have re-identified “Jane Doe” as Avannah Dadig, read more here.
