Tacos unite people far and wide with its simple concept; a tortilla filled with variations of meat, vegetables, sauces and cheeses. Fans have also been divided by the age-old preference of a hard or soft shell.
Taco Tuesday maybe be a weekly indulgence, but National Taco Day occurs once every year. These two together makes for an exciting day for taco lovers. National chains acknowledge the significance and want to join in on the festivities by offering major deals on the crunchy-sometimes soft- treat.

Taco Bell has yet to announce any deals but is actively participating through social media. The fast food chain is asking customers to send in greeting cards and even went far as creating a jingle to commemorate the day.
California Tortilla is taking it one step further by offering a BOGO taco deal every Tuesday in October. The chain has locations in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida.
