ALBUQUERQUE, N.M (KRQE) – A Nambe woman found dead this week may have been dead for nearly a month and police believe the man she lived with, held a yard sale during that time.
According to a search warrant, officers were led to the home of Elvira Segura after her car was found abandoned in Las Cruces. When they went inside her home they found a woman’s body, decomposed.
An autopsy dates her death weeks earlier. Police say that neighbors told them the man who lived with her held a yard sale just a few weeks ago.
Neighbors also say they heard gunshots before that and hadn’t seen Elvira. Neighbors were still shocked to learn of what may have happened there.
State Police are now searching for Robert Boykin. State Police say he has ties to Las Cruces and El Paso.
