Albuquerque kids in foster care gifted new backpacks

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque community has come together to help kids in foster care.

On Monday, commercial real estate group, CB Richard Ellis, donated 100 backpacks to foster kids. It’s all part of the pull together program.

The backpacks are filled with blankets, stuffed animals, and coloring books.

The Children, Youth and Families Department says this means a lot because kids often go into foster care with nothing. Since the Pull Together Program launched in May, they’ve collected 300 backpacks to give to foster kids all over New Mexico. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
