Firefighters continue to battle fire in Santa Cruz Mountains


SANTA CRUZ, CA (KRQE) – Firefighters continue to battle a blaze in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California.

The Loma fire is 66 percent contained.

It has burned nearly 4,500 acres and has destroyed 12 homes and 16 structures.

Winds continue to howl through the area, which is a worry for firefighters.
