Surveillance video released in California police shooting

EL CAJON, Cali. (KRQE) – Saturday night crowds continued to protest in Southern California after the police shooting of a black man.

Police have released new videos showing the controversial incident in the San Diego suburb.

Security tape showed 38-year-old Alfred Olango walking erratically as officers Richard Gonsalvez and Josh McDaniel approach him. Then, it showed one officer fire his gun at Olango.

A still frame showed Olango pointing a vaping device at police.

Attorneys representing the family said the video release is overdue. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
