FRIDAY: Showers stretching from south-central NM up towards I-40 will continue to fizzle out through late morning. Expect more showers and storms to spread out over northwest, west-central and southwest NM… drier farther east. High temperatures will be slightly cooler than what was felt earlier in the week – expect more 60s and 70s (less 80s) on the map.
SATURDAY: High pressure building over the state will mean drier conditions, more sunshine and warmer temperatures. A handful of showers are likely to linger over the higher terrain of northern NM, however, coverage will be limited.
SUNDAY: Near-perfect! Expect high temperatures to jump back into the low 80s across the Rio Grande Valley with plenty of sunshine overhead. No significant rain chances to mention of as of this moment.
NEXT WEEK: A storm passing to our north will send down a strong cold front at the start of next week. Expect a round of gusty winds and a sharp cool down Tuesday & Wednesday – details to come as we get closer.
