Shower chances continue today, but it will not be as widespread as the rain was on Thursday. The best chance for showers will be across the mountains and in southern New Mexico. Drier air works in for Saturday and Sunday. This dry air will help boost temperatures to warmer than normal highs for the afternoon after some cool mornings. So the first weekend of Balloon Fiesta is looking great! Changes begin on Monday that is when a strong low pressure system and cold front will take aim on New Mexico. This weather maker will crank up the wind, bring much cooler temperatures and the chance for showers to begin next week so stay tuned!
