Wind, colder temperatures and showers will be moving through New Mexico this afternoon. The strongest winds will be in the Northeast where wind gusts could be around 45 mph this afternoon. The colder air is already moving into the Four Corners this afternoon. That is where temperatures are still stuck in the 40s and low 50s at the noon hour. Those cooler temperatures will continue to spread east through New Mexico today. Many areas will be dropping below freezing across the north tonight and Albuquerque will be dipping into the 40s. Another cold front will move into Eastern New Mexico for Sunday and Monday. This second cold front will reinforce the cold air and crank up the wind once again. We will also be watching a weather system to our south on Sunday and Monday that could bring more showers to central and southern New Mexico to end the weekend and for the start of next week.
