NMNSH demonstrates how science is everywhere

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One local museum is hosting a very special one day only camp to celebrate Veterans.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science (NMNSH) is throwing a Super Hero Training Camp on Veterans Day. Students ages 6 to 12 can enjoy their one day break from school by discovering the real and exaggerated science behind super heroes.

In the Superhero Training Camp, campers will use science to outsmart a super villain by exploring flight, physics and the capabilities of the human body. Real life heroes, military veterans, will be there to meet the campers.

NMNSH’s Weekend Supervisor, Ethan Aronson, joined the KRQE This Morning team to discuss the camps and show a demonstration on how to make a rocket launcher. Watch above.

Camp will be held at the museum on Friday, November 11 from 9 a.m until 4 p.m.

For questions call the museum at (505)245-2137 at extension 103.
