ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Tuesday, 150 homeless people got a free lunch.

Employees from the Molina Healthcare Clinic near Central and Louisiana handed out reusable bags with sandwiches and granola bars.

They try to hold events throughout the year there to help the area’s low income residents.

“This meal today may be the only meal that some people have, in this area the population is very poverty stricken,” said Inta Wood, Clinic Administrator.

The group is working with Roadrunner Food Bank to offer neighbors breakfast at the clinic soon.
