New organization looks to sway coffee drinkers from chains

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new organization is hoping to get the word out about local coffee shops and all that they do for the community.

The New Mexico Coffee Association is looking to sway local residents to bypass the national chains by introducing all the great local coffee shops in the Albuquerque area. There are many great options when it comes to specialty coffee and related drinks.

Prosum Roasters Owner, Cindy Moffitt, and Dave Rodriquez with Blunt Bros Coffee joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate ways to make coffee. Watch above.

Moffitt demonstrated three super brewing methods, that are all inexpensive. She also just returned from a coffee buying trip from Brazil and shared what it was like to meet with coffee farmers.

Rodriquez is gearing up for a trip to Anaheim, California to compete for the title of Best Espresso in America at the upcoming Anaheim Coffee Festival.
