Classes canceled at Eisenhower Middle School over bomb scare

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Eisenhower Middle School has canceled classes for the day because of a bomb scare, according to Albuquerque Public Schools.

APS says parents may pick students up near Juan Tabo and Bartonwood just northwest of the school. Parents will need an ID in order to pick up their children.

Police say someone sent an email to numerous recipients, including law enforcement agencies threatening an active shooter incident and bomb at the school.

Albuquerque police say they completed their sweep of the school around 10:30 a.m. and did not find anything suspicious. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
