Suspect dead after shooting 2 Philadelphia police officers

PHILADELPHIA, PA (KRQE) – Two police are in stable condition after a wild shootout in Philadelphia Friday night.

Police said an unidentified suspect shot at Sergeant Sylvia Young up to eight times and University of Pennsylvania Officer Ed Miller was also shot.

They said a suspect walked up to Young’s police vehicle and opened fire, then moved a few blocks away where he shot Miller and four other civilians.Miller and two police officers eventually chased the man into an alley, where they shot and killed him.

Both officers are expect to be okay. Two of the civilians shot are in critical condition.
