St. Martin's Covenant House in Albuquerque expands

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – St. Martin’s, Albuquerque’s largest provider of homeless services in the state, is expanding its Covenant House.

The Covenant House helps women recently let out of prison for three months as they transition back into society. Managers say the organization will now be able to help twice as many women with therapy and life skill classes.

“Everybody’s dealing with their own things, whether it’s finding a job, going to school, whether it’s family or friends, their support group,” said Program Manager Rachel Blanton.

with the expansion, managers say they can now accommodate 15 women. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
