Mike Roberts will have public visitation service and funeral

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Lobo fans will get a chance to honor legendary broadcaster Mike Roberts a final time.

There will be a public visitation for Roberts on Sunday, September 25, at WisePies Arena AKA The Pit. A funeral for Roberts has been set for Monday September 26 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The location of the church is 8130 Sage Road Southwest. Roberts lost his battle with cancer Tuesday. Lobo fans, players and coaches showered the late voice of the Lobos with tributes when the news was made public.

Roberts started his career calling games for Lobo athletics in 1966 and continued on until 2008. He also called games for the Albuquerque Dukes, Isotopes and high school sports. He was 83 years old.
