WEDNESDAY: More storms and showers are expected this afternoon and evening with best coverage found over northern and eastern NM. More isolated storms are possible within central and western NM. There is potential for a few storms to turn strong to severe – particularly over the Eastern Plains. Threats include hail, gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain. Afternoon temperatures will be similar to what was felt Tuesday – expect widespread 60s, 70s and 80s.
THURSDAY: Drier air working in across western NM will make it tough for storms to fire along and west of Interstate-25. Better chances for wetting rain and strong storms will fall across the Eastern Plains. Isolated (if any at all) storms may pass over the Albuquerque-metro area, although, coverage will be limited. Expect temperatures to top out near seasonal average.
FRIDAY: A quiet day for most with more sunshine and drier conditions funneling in over western and central NM. Storms will likely linger over far eastern NM, although, fewer storms expected compared to previous afternoons.
