A few showers will linger across the east overnight, while the central and western parts of the state will see clearing skies. Thursday will feature more showers and storms across the east. Spot storms will be possible from the Gila to the Rio Grande Valley. Storms will continue in the east Friday, but in fewer numbers. The west will see more sunshine with mild afternoon temperatures.
Over the weekend, a few spot storms will be possible across the northeast Saturday. Then another trough sets up to our west. This one will dive farther south into Southern California. A southerly moisture tap will setup, providing for showers and storms across southwestern New Mexico Sunday afternoon. That moisture will expand across the state through Monday and Tuesday.
