Man accused breaking into home, injuring homeowner with Samurai sword

ALBUQUERUQE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque homeowner woke up to an intruder standing over him with Samurai swords. That intruder is identified as 27-year-old Chris Barreras.

The victim says he awoke to Barreras telling him he was going to steal his stuff but also wanted money and started swinging the swords at him leaving him with slashes.

The victim fought back and eventually got some help from a neighbor who heard the commotion. They held Barreras down until police arrived.
