‘Cornerstone’ Children’s Choir

A few weeks back, we introduced you to the documentary, ‘Cornerstone’ – A film that follows Jackson Kaguri, a humble immigrant living the American dream, who returns to his Ugandan village to save a generation of children, orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

The film’s producers were looking for a children’s choir to appear on the soundtrack, and we’re happy to report – they’ve found the perfect match.

“The Young Musician Initiative – we are an outreach of the New Mexico Philharmonic, we work in three Title I bilingual schools in Bernalillo County. We offer a free music program; all of our students play an instrument and sing in choir and we do that at no cost to the family or the schools,” says Alexis Corbin, the Executive Director of the Young Musician Imitative.

The finished film will premiere in Kampala Uganda on September 1st – the NYC Premiere is scheduled for December. The Albuquerque Premiere and Gala will be held in March of 2017.
