Would-be robber facing attempted murder charges after drug deal goes bad

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It sounds like something out of a TV show like Breaking Bad or Weeds, but for one man who tried selling pot through Facebook, things definitely didn’t go according to script.

According to a criminal complaint, it all happened at Roosevelt Park in August.

A man who lost his job and decided to sell pot online to make ends meet, met up with 18-year-old Ethan Moya.

Police say instead of doing a deal, Moya pulled a shotgun and tried to rob that man firing at and hitting that man in the arm several times before he could drive away.

Moya’s now facing attempted murder and attempted robbery charges.

Moya has an $80,000 cash only bond.

Now, authorities say that would-be drug dealer he’s accused of shooting may lose his arm.
