ALCALDE, N.M. (KRQE) – Heavy rain washed out roads in northern New Mexico Monday, as the afternoon storm caused flooding.

Desiree Medina sent video to KRQE News 13 from Alcalde just north of Española. The video above shows water rushing down their road, leaving it nearly impassable.

Medina says they had to leave their cars at the bottom of the road and have someone with four-wheel drive take them home.
