ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s primary goal is to develop and celebrate New Mexico’s vibrant Latin dance culture, and they’re making it fun to do with a festival.
The Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival is put on by Guanabana Productions, a non-profit organization of volunteers. They believe that there are only a few activities that bring together such a diverse group of people. The activities include Latin music and dance.
Board members, John Mancini and Jessica Montoya, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the upcoming event. Watch above.
The three day festival is full of activities. From instruction to workshops and even dancing under the stars there’s something for almost everyone to enjoy.
Thursday will have a meet and greet from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, then from 9:30 p.m to 1 a.m, Son Como Son will be performing a concert at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC).
All events including classes and concerts will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the NHCC.
