Rail Runner diverted while Los Lunas police investigate shooting

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Los Lunas police confirmed they are investigating a shooting that took place early on Saturday morning.

They said the shooting happened at about 2:30 a.m. when the were dispatched to a male with a gunshot wound.

Police said that they are currently have two persons of interest. They are looking for Gabriel Artiaga. He is described as having hazel eyes, being approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. The second person is Jozann Garcia. She is described as having brown eyes, being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds

Police said the male victim is currently in critical condition.

The scene is near a high foot traffic area of the Rail Runner so service to Los Lunas has been suspended indefinitely. Riders will need to make arrangements as trains will bypass the Los Lunas stop.
