Storms are moving into eastern New Mexico and the southern half of the state this evening. Albuquerque’s chance for rain looks to be low for the remainder of the night with most of the storms now moving away from the metro. Storms will continue into the early overnight before tapering off by morning. Skies will start off partly cloudy and mostly dry with comfortable temperatures on Sunday morning. Storms will redevelop across the mountains for Sunday afternoon. But, unlike Saturday, the storms will not be widespread. There’s only a slight chance for a spot storm in Albuquerque for the second half of the weekend. An area of high pressure will start to rebuild over the region for the beginning of the week and this will keep storms pretty limited to the higher terrain to begin the week. Temperatures will start to warm back up for the beginning of the week with the high moving back overhead.
