Senior living center hosts event to thank law enforcement

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some Albuquerque seniors planned a special day for law enforcement.

Residents at Atria Senior Living near Indian School and University hosted a barbecue for police officers Thursday afternoon.

They say they not only wanted to catch up with officers but they wanted to meet other community members as well.

Residents have held a similar event for fire fighters.
