Police seek suspect in southwest Albuquerque shooting

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are searching for a man who who shot another person sending them to the hospital.

Investigators say around 2 p.m. Thursday, three people got into a fight near Central and 60th.

“Two people were armed with guns. We believe that one was a real gun and one was a pellet gun. We’re still trying to figure that stuff out,” said Officer Fred Duran.

Police say there was damage to some buildings and a victim was shot in the hand.

The suspect fled the scene in a black Charger with large rims, tinted windows and a yellow license plate, according to officers.

The suspect is described as in his early 20’s.
