Mother sues dental chain, says teeth were extracted without permission

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe mother is suing a National Dental Chain saying the dentist held down her child to extract teeth without her permission.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Mayra Chavez is now suing Hero Dental of Santa Fe which operates as “Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics.”

Chavez says her son’s father took her son to the location on Cerrillos Road back in October and stayed in the waiting room.

When he went to check on their son, they say the boy was screaming and tied to a chair with employees holding him down.

The company says they haven’t been served with the suit yet. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
