Chris’ Thursday Night Forecast

Flash Flood Warning for the eastside of Albuquerque will end shortly before 11pm tonight.   Even though the rain is letting up across Albuquerque the water flows remain high.  So you do not want to drive through water covered roads and stay away from arroyos.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to move across central and western New Mexico producing quick, heavy downpours.  The flash flooding threat will continue tonight into Friday with another round of scattered storms likely on Friday afternoon.  The storms won’t be widespread but scattered across central and western New Mexico on Friday.   Storm chances will continue into the weekend with the northern and western half of the state being favored.  New Mexico will dry out some for the beginning of next week with temperatures heating back up into the 90s and some triple digits across central and southern New Mexico.
