Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Widespread storms stretch into midweek...

TUESDAY: High pressure to our east and low pressure setting up further west will help pump more moisture into our state, resulting in more storms. Expect another round of scattered to widespread storms and showers to develop by late day. Slow moving thunderstorms will raise concerns for flash flooding – particularly in and around canyons, arroyos, rivers, etc. Best storm coverage will be found across western and central NM with more isolated activity further east. Afternoon temperatures will be slightly cooler than what we felt Monday – expect highs to top out near seasonal average (80s and 90s) in most areas.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH in effect for majority of western, central and northern NM beginning 11AM Tuesday.
