ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The dog days of summer are here and beating the heat is getting more difficult.
This year is on pace to the hottest year in history, but there are ways to maximize the efficiency of your automobiles air conditioner.
Tim Johnson with Christian Brothers Automotive joined KRQE’s This Morning team to share tips on keeping cool. Watch above.
Parking in shady locations can help to keep your car cool which helps your AC to operate longer and use less energy to reach an optimal temperature.
Clogged and dirty filters can also block air flow into your vehicle. Johnson suggests cleaning your cabin air filters regularly.
Also, turning off your AC shortly before arriving at your destination, but leaving the fan on can help to conserve energy.
