Police recover California couple’s classic car stolen during trip to Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An antique car, stolen during a California couple’s stop in Albuquerque has been found.

Donald Houseman and his wife were visiting earlier this month for the for the national Model-T tour. They were staying at the Elegante Hotel on Menual near University, when thieves made off with their truck, trailer and 1926 Model-T Ford Speedster.

Police later found the couple’s truck, and on Monday found the speedster outside of the city. They say it’s scratched, but otherwise in good shape.

Police have yet to locate the trailer.
