Vigil held at Civic Plaza for first responders

Back the Blue

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Community members came together Saturday to support local law enforcement and first responders.

The group “American Patriots” held a candlelight vigil at Civic Plaza. Organizers say the “Back the Blue” event is a way to “support the good guys” who keep our community safe.

Among those who attended was Elisabeth Sacco, the creator of the Hi-4 campaign.

She hopes that anytime the community sees a first responder, they’ll wave using the hand signal, to let them know they are supported. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
