Route 66 Summerfest had something for everyone

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M, (KRQE)- Many in Albuquerque went out and enjoyed all the fun of the Route 66 Summerfest in Nob Hill.

It was a day packed with activities for people of all ages.

Central between Gerard and Washington was blocked off for the festival.

There was a little something for everyone there.

Two couples even renewed their vows at the main stage Saturday afternoon as a part of a group wedding ceremony that Summerfest has every year. They have been together a long time and they’ve wanted to do this for a while.

“It’s been so long since we got married, it’s been 50 years,” said Pamela Yenser

The couple said they were going celebrate by enjoying the rest of the festival.

There was a ton of local vendors and lots of food.

There was also live music on the three different stages.

It was also very hot Saturday afternoon.

Nob hill Main Street says that they gave out about 10,000 free bottles of water. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
