Isotopes win their 6th straight

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)- The Isotopes have been hot at the plate since the All-Star Break. They won three games in Las Vegas prior to the break, but now also have won three in a row against Memphis. The Isotopes are now on a six game winning streak, and looking to top off their series finale with the Red Birds on Sunday with the sweep.

The Topes had the chance to see the St. Louis Cardinals top prospect, Alex Reyes, on the bump Saturday night. They would take advantage early in the first inning off of two walks, making it 1-0 after a Ben Paulson RBI single. The Topes would tack on four more in the 4th, but things got interesting later.

The Red Birds took an 8-7 lead in the top of the 9th inning, but the Topes would crawl back and after a bloop single. Jeff Bianchi gets the winning run across in walk off fashion the Topes win their 6th straight 9-8.
