Local breweries compete to determine best IPA in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Local breweries competed against each other Saturday to determine who has the best IPA in the Land of Enchantment.

It’s just part one of the 15th Annual IPA Challenge.

About half of the breweries in New Mexico participate in the people’s choice challenge.

Each event consists of individual tasting flights.

There were 28 different IPA’s competing in the challenge a continuation of a long tradition.

The IPAs that survived the elimination round will now head to Santa Fe next weekend for round two.
