Chris’ Saturday Evening Forecast

The heat continued for most of New Mexico while some saw rain roll through on Saturday afternoon!  Unfortunately, our storm chances will be diminishing into Sunday with drier air infiltrating New Mexico.   This dry air combined with hotter than normal temperatures and gusty wind will elevate the Fire Danger for Sunday and Monday.   Red Flag Warnings are up for northeastern New Mexico for tomorrow afternoon and Fire Weather Watches are up for central and northern New Mexico for Sunday and Monday.   These warnings and watches mean you don’t want to do any outdoor burning in the coming days.   The heat will continue into the middle of the upcoming week with storm chances extremely low for the entire state.
