Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Our heat wave stretches through the weekend...

FRIDAY: Spotty storms are likely to develop over southwest & eastern NM by late day. Some of these storms have the potential to be strong to severe – particularly over the Eastern Plains. We’ll also finish the week with scorching temperatures as most of us top out in the upper 90s to low 100s.

WEEKEND: A drying trend will kick in over the weekend with fewer storms expected Saturday into Sunday. (We’ll keep an eye over the higher terrain & eastern NM for a few pop up storms). Temperatures will remain above average with widespread 80s, 90s and low 100s expected. Winds will begin to pick up Sunday before strengthening even further by Monday.
