ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque firefighters tackled flames and smoke at a two-story apartment building off Central and 59th Friday morning.

Crews say they found heavy flames and smoke pouring out from one of the apartments on the second story. Firefighters were able to get into the home quickly and get the fire under control within minutes.

However, AFD says four residents have been displaced from their homes because of smoke damage.

No word on a cause, but some neighbors say they have their suspicions about a resident who’s allegedly caused problems before.

The fire is currently under investigation and one person has been detained for questioning.
