ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some creative New Mexico mothers are designing products and launching websites that they think will help make life just a little bit easier for parents.

They’ve got ideas for healthy food on-the-go, easy traveling and commemorating those milestone moments in a child’s life.

Yummy Spoon

“They are so excited every time they see it,” said Gina Cormier, creator of the Yummy Spoon.

She came up with the invention to easily feed her children healthy, whole food on-the-go.

Parents can put soft fruits or veggies in the Yummy Spoon, mash it all up in the spoon and then squeeze it out for kids to eat.

Cormier said it is BPA-free, dishwasher-safe and allows her to feed her children without the cleanup and inconvenience of bringing along Tupperware and silverware.

New Mexico residents can get a 50 percent discount by purchasing the product at YummySpoon.com by using the code, “505,” at checkout. It is also available on Amazon.

BabyPage

To capture cute smiles and milestone moments, Albuquerque mothers Katie Rice and Yasine Armstrong created BabyPage.

At BabyPage.com, parents upload pictures and answer questions about their kids. Then, the site puts it all together in a personalized scrapbook that parents can edit and purchase.

Babierge

Of course, a great time for pictures is on vacation, but traveling with kids, their toys, a stroller, a car seat—it can be intimidating.

“As a mom, you may not even decide to go on that vacation,” said Kerri Couillard, creator of Babierge.

It is a website where traveling parents can rent baby equipment.

“Strollers, car seats, high chairs are very popular items,” Couillard said. “The full size crib is the most popular item.”

Like Uber or Airbnb, people can make money working for Babierge to rent out that equipment.
