ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Holly Holm is looking to come back from her loss in her title defense to Miesha Tate in UFC 196.
Holm has a lot going on like movie premieres and ESPY nominations, but she’s just focused on winning her July 23rd fight against Valentina Shevchenko in Chicago, Illinois.
“A lot of people say, ‘After this do you think you will fight for the title?’ Well I have to get through this fight first, you know. I am not even thinking about that at this point,” said Holm. “I feel like Valentina is a very, very tough opponent. She has a lot of experience, a whole different style of fighter. She has great muy thai, so she is going to be very tough.”
Shevchenko holds a 12-2 MMA record and should be a great opponent for 10-1 Holly Holm. Holly hasn’t left the gym since she lost to Miesha and is determined to get back on top.
