UNM Alumni win the first ever Battle of the Rio Grande basketball game

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- It was made out to be a much more physical game from their All-Star match up last year, and that’s what the fans got when watching the Battle of The Rio Grande. In the end the Lobo Alumni would walk away with the victory defeating the Aggie Alumni 102-97.

The first half definitely went to the Lobos as they led 56-44, but the Aggie Alumni would make their presence known in the 2nd half even taking a lead late in the game. In the end the Lobos would pull it out in front of the home crowd, reliving some found memories for both the players and the fans who were in attendance.
