Suspected frozen dinner thief injures deputy in attempt to resist arrest

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A grandson caught raiding his grandma’s freezer is accused of hurting a deputy while trying to get away.

According to a criminal complaint, Jonathan Saiz broke into his grandma’s house near Carnuel and was stealing frozen TV dinners.

While a deputy tried to arrest him, investigators say Saiz stuck his thumb in his eye.

That deputy says he later found a gun in Saiz’s pocket and several glass pipes with drug residue.

In court Sunday, a judge increased his bond because of his past.
