A New Mexico softball team will represent the U.S. in Italy

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Nine high school athletes from all around the state came together to practice at St. Pius X High School softball fields, all in preparation to represent the United States, as part of America’s Team, in Italy.

Two of the players, Justyce Millan and Sara Roach, are student athletes at St. Pius X High School and have brought the team out to have their first softball practices together before they all leave on July 10 to play nine softball games against international competition.

They will be playing three games in Rome, three in Florence and three in Milan.  The purpose of these games is to bring female athletes together from around the world and to continue to learn and grow within the sports they love.
