Rain brings worries of flooding in the Dog Head Fire burn scar

MANZANO MOUNTAINS, N.M. (KRQE) – Relief in the form of rain for the Dog Head Fire burning in the Manzano Mountains, but that brought on a new worry; flooding.

Once the rain hit the scar zone area a flash flood advisory was issued.

KRQE News 13 flew over the burn scar Wednesday evening. Even with the rain, the fire continues to burn in spots.

In the video above, you can see some water in a natural drainage at the edge of the burn scar. Also, the ash residue from the fire that flowed through it.
