Warehouse 508 creates unique programs for youth

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – June is the beginning of a whole new world for teens who are not interested in traditional summer programs.

Warehouse 508 and New Mexico Sports (NMX) work together to provide a youth driven avenue to introduce various skills that include art, music outdoor recreation and non-traditional sports.

A new program created by Sofia Resnik and Mikala Sterling will allow for students to create a professional magazine.

Resnik and Sterling joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the program. Watch above.

Students will be involved in all aspects of the process of putting a magazine together. Those who are the ages between 11 and 20 with high interest in Photoshop, InDesign, photography, writing, editing and layout design are highly encouraged to sign up for the class.

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. from now until Friday, July 29.
